1. Korean Consulate General organised a dinner meetup for Melbourne resident Korean leaders on 4th February.
2. Sohwon Kim, the president of Korean community, attended a lunar new year celebration with the Monash Senior Association on 10th February and Victoria Senior Association on 12th February. She thanked for all the support and shared the rice cake with them.
It was announced a change in the wording to the country's national anthem in 2021 from 'For we are young and free' to 'For we are one and free'.
From 2021, our membership fee has been changed to $40 per individual and $80 per family. However, life-long membership remains as $1000.
In addition, from March 2021, a membership card will be issued in order for the numerous membership benefits to be accessed easily. The membership benefits include exclusive offers for community hall hiring, discounts at many Korean restaurants and other benefits. More information will be announced later in March so please keep an eye out.
